The Root Canal Treatment Process

Diagnostics & Preparation

Diagnostics & Preparation

Your endodontist will begin with a comprehensive examination of your tooth and x-rays to identify the cause of your dental discomfort. If an infection is present, they'll assess its severity to determine if a root canal is the appropriate treatment option. If root canal therapy is necessary, your endodontist will ensure the treatment area is completely numb, including the nerves.

Removing Decay & Infected Pulp

Removing Decay & Infected Pulp

Once you're fully numbed and comfortable, your endodontist will begin the process of removing decayed or infected material. They'll start from the outermost layer of enamel and work their way towards the inner pulp. After removing the infected pulp, the canals will be thoroughly cleaned and flushed with a specialized disinfectant to eliminate any remaining infection.

Filling & Sealing

Filling & Sealing

After cleaning and disinfecting your tooth, your endodontist will fill the root canal with a rubbery substance called "gutta-percha". This biocompatible material provides support to the tooth and replaces the extracted pulp.

Root canal treatment is only one step in returning your tooth to full function. A proper final restoration of the tooth is extremely important in ensuring long term success.

I really appreciate that I was able to be seen and taken in from an emergency referral immediately and was treated within 10 minutes of arriving for my throbbing, excruciating pain.  Everyone was extremely friendly, professional and accommodating.  My tooth was taken care of with a root canal treatment and I was out of the office in just over an hour with relief and comfort.   Thankful for your service and expertise.

Excellent, professional, clean and affordable clinic in Los Angeles. If you have a root canal to be done they are the best. It takes around 2 hours and no pain at all. Maybe you will feel a little pain right after the procedure for a few hours and that’s it. You will be able to do everything as normal at the same day. Job well done, highly recommended!

This was my first root canal treatment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere in their beautiful office which has an amazing view. Dr. Badii takes the time to thoroughly explain the process, so you feel at ease throughout. The equipment is state-of-the-art, and I experienced no pain during or after the procedure.
